This is such a common question among bloggers, that how can we get really powerful backlinks?
It goes without saying that for the majority of people that are involved in doing SEO,link building is probably one of those big dark mysterious areas that is probably really confusing and frustrating.
The reason that i say frustrating is because most web masters know that in order to improve their search engine rankings they need to get links but the problem arises when web masters base their link building strategy upon guess work!
You will see people submitting really crappy press releases, building out forum profiles and doing all this non sense stuff.Basically they are just blasting links all over the web in hope that something might work.
Now of course such practices can cause more harm than good,so i am going to share with you strategies that you can use for effective link building. These methods do not involve any sort of trickery or non sense so let's jump straight into it and i will show you how you can build high quality links!
Competitor's The first thing that you should ask yourself is why are my competitor's out ranking me constantly for new term? That means whatever you and your competitor's do they always find a way to out rank you!
The simple answer is that they build a better link profile than you.
So the first thing that you want to do is gather up a list of competing websites these are your competitors.
Put a list of 10 to 15 competitors make note of them on a spread sheet!
Once you do that then what you want to do is head on over to a site called Ahrefs!
Ahrefs is a tool that allows you to take a web address enter it in perform a search and reverse engineer all of the links that are pointing out to that particular domain.
Now for example if you have a list of 10 competing websites, you want to perform this process through Ahrefs and export all of the data that Ahrefs provides you with. When you do this you might end up with 10 spreadsheets a listing of each sites link profile. You then want to take all those spreadsheets and compile them together into a single master list!
Once you have got this master list you should have a mixture of all of your competitor's and all of the links that point out to their sites.
Once you have created this master list you then want to sort by domain rating descending, the reason why you want to do this is because you want to focus your attention on replicating the most powerful and strongest links from top to bottom.
Now you can imagine how effective that strategy would be especially when you are gathering the data collectively!
Each site might have 1000 links pointing at them so if you reverse engineer 10 competitor's site's that is potentially 10000 links that you could look at for replicating.
Of course the objective is to strengthen your own link profile by focusing your efforts only on the links that matter!
I am going to finish off by saying that this is one of the best strategies,it is safe and is useful in the long term too!
I hope this helps you out!
