Have you ever dreamed about being featured on Forbes, Huffington Post or maybe INC?
Well that is all possible through guest blogging!
So in this article i am going to discuss whether you should leverage guest blogging. The first thing that i should be telling you is that guest blogging is better for B2B than B2C.
So if you are in a B2C niche you probably should not waste your time with guest blogging.
But for B2B it is great,it works well and you should definitely try it.
And here is another thing that you need to consider that if you can blog 2 to 3 times in a week, then you should probably do that on your own blog, because you can grow your traffic base, after a year it will continually grow and grow and what will happen is that you will end up controlling your own audience and it will be much easier for you to convert your users into customers!
But if you can't blog 2 to 3 times in a week then you should consider guest blogging, reason being you can't really build a really large audience.
So if you only blog once a week you should not do it on your own blog, heck you should not even create a blog in the first place rather you should blog on someone else's blog.
Meaning that you should only guest post.
Now that you know whether to guest post or not here is how you can get featured on Huffington,INC etc!
If you are going to email the editor then you are not going to get a response, because they probably will not care.
Why?
Because a lot of people already email them on a daily basis saying 'hey can i contribute on your website!' and since there are a lot of people emailing they might not even reply or even if they do they might just simply say NO!
But on the flip side if you network with other guest contributor's like for example if someone had an article featured on Forbes and underneath in the comments section you respond to them saying that
'Hey XYZ i noticed that you wrote this article on Forbes magazine.Have you thought about covering A,B and C that you did not cover in your article?
The chances are the person who wrote that article is going to be like, thank you for the feedback that is a good point!
If you really put thought in your statements and if you don't just present these contributor's with garbage, they usually will respond and usually with such websites like for example Forbes you can message these contributor's through Forbes's own internal messaging system.
It is really simple,as you build a connection and you continually help that author out eventually you can message them saying
'Hey XYZ!
i love what you are doing on Forbes and i want to be like you one of these days, would you mind to do an introduction to an editor .
If not,no worries.
Cheers!
Your number one fan,
ZZZ!
By sending out emails like that you are going to get introduced to an editor. When an editor gets introduced to you from another writer they are much more likely to respond and allow you to post on that website and that is how you get guest contributor accounts!
Cheers!
