In this article we are going to be talking about what you should be focusing on first, when you are ready to start growing your profitable blog!
Now before you read this i hope that you already have your blog set up and also i hope that you have your business goals and plans in mind, because those are really important.
Obviously you need to have business goals and plans simply because you are running a business not pursuing a hobby!
but beyond that let's talk about the things that you should follow afterwards!
long term product or service Now the first thing that i recommend you doing is think about the long term product or service that you are going to create and i know people get nervous when they hear this!
But don't worry, the key is to take baby steps and trust me this is more manageable than you think!
Initially a lot of people think that they only want to focus on ad revenue, affiliate marketing and sponsorship's but you know you need to think for the long term!
So think about a business rather than just taking your blog as a 'hobby blog'.
You definitely want to have multiple income streams and one of those income streams should really be a product or a service that is owned by you!
Work hard to create something that you could put your personal stamp on,because there is nothing that will give you more satisfaction as a business owner.
So let's take that product or business idea and pretend that you are putting out a budgeting workbook in the next six months
Now what you want to do is start thinking backwards from that!
Prepare yourself Now i am going to list all the things that you need to prepare your audience for that budgeting workbook.
Trust me when i say that working hard, creating a product and then launching it is not enough.
This will not bring in consistent sales.
it is a big mistake that a lot of people make.Another mistake that people make is that they write a few blog posts about something and then when they see that it has gotten a good enough traction the just kind of run with it and hope for the best, let me tell you that is also not going to bring in the consistency in your sales!
You have to do a couple of different things to establish your authority to show that you are the go to person for whatever it is that you are providing.
So i recommend doing social media posts, webinars, videos and obviously blog posts that you can write to prepare your readers for that product or service.
Mention that you have a product So if you create product and let's say for 4 months you don't really mention anything about it thinking people will find it on their own it is a big mistake!
You want to involve your readers old and new one's just in the process of creating different content and getting everything ready, so by the time that you launch you prepare them before the launch!
Make sure you catch everyone's attention So once you get your product in the main spotlight don't expect your readers to start buying it,what you need to do is talk a lot about budgeting before you launch!
So you could talk about different spaces in budgeting,so this way your readers will get really caught up with the topic that you are talking about!
After you do that then you should launch your product!
Otherwise please don't bother.
Subscriber incentive OK so now that you have made it till here, you need to think about a subscriber incentive. Now i see a lot people trying to sell a product to customers with whom they have not built a relationship with and although sometimes it works you need to stay on the safe side
because it can be a very hit and miss kind of situation.
So a more secure way to make sales when you finally launch is to build an email list but then also actually do something with it!
A lot of people just build, build and build and they don't do anything with those lists,so it is awaste of your time and your subscribers time if you do the same.
So the important thing to do is to also start collecting emails and then interact with people too!
Ask them questions,about budgeting etc
This way you will build a relationship with them and also the second benefit is that this will provide you with a little bit of market research!
You will be asking potential customers what it is that they would like to see and you will get answers before you even launch.
So this means that you can fine tune your product to make it perfect or close to perfect!
Promote like hell Now it's time for the last point which is promote like hell on instagram,Facebook etc!
Now when people think of growing their blog the first thing that they think of is just promoting it and then getting people to visit it.
But remember that growth comes in a lot of ways,yo maybe receiving 100000 page views a moth but if you are not interacting with people to learn how you can change their lives then 100000 just kind of sounds empty to me!
You are better of getting 50000 page views and listening to customers and hear about the product that they are dying to get their hands on.
Conclusion Make the most out of all these tips, you really need to think about the long term service and content that you need to provide. And also remember interaction is really important too!
i hope this helps you out!
